Catherine Ford is a British actress who was born in Bloomsbury. After her father's departure from her household, the actress was raised to maturity by her mother, grandparents, and godparents. As a young girl, she struggled with an obsessional disorder. She also experienced anxiety because of the word association. Ford was intrigued by the profession of acting in her teen years, and became a member of the National Youth Theatre. Ford was accepted into the Sylvia Young Theatre School. After a couple of days, she concluded that Sylvia Young Theatre School was not the right place right for her. Ford reapplied to Central School of Speech and Drama and on her fourth application she was eventually accepted. Shaun Dingwall would play Pete Tyler as a regular character in Doctor Who. Ford graduated in 1993. However, she made her television debut in a 1992 episode of Surgical Spirit. She adopted the title Catherine Tate. Tate made her television debut in 1991, appearing in shows such as The Bill. Men Behaving Badly. and London's Burning. Tate also performed regularly at the theater, ultimately joining the Royal Shakespeare Company for its 2000-2001 season. However, Tate soon began to garner attention for her stand-up comic that she incorporated into her repertoire in 1996.
