LizzoLizzo joined a rock-prog band where she sang and played flute. Her family moved to Denver and she was now in her own space, looking to make Houston her new home. Lizzo was living on her own in her car, sometimes sleeping on the floor in her recording studio in the studio and washed in the gym. When Lizzo was 20, her father passed away. The two were close and it was a devastating loss. She left the prog-rock band in 2010, after her father's passing. Following a brief stint in Denver in 2010, Lizzo moved to Minneapolis on the advice of a friend in the year 2011. Lizzo quickly found herself in the middle of the music scene. She was part of the girl group Chalice, GRRRL PRTY. The first album she released Lizzobangers was released in 2013 on an independent label.
